香莢蘭的種植，蟲害相當少，種植的農戶皆可以往友善耕作與有機耕作的方向邁進，農產品不外乎都有農藥殘留的疑慮，再加上未來有出口的可能，未來希望每年都可以做一次農藥殘留的檢驗，目前衛生福利部食品藥物管理署的規定，農藥殘留的簡樣品項約為380個項目，市場上不少檢驗公司，選擇SGS的原因不外乎就是較有公信力，香草農夫也選擇最高的473項農藥檢驗，當然費用也是略高一些，檢驗報告均未檢出，請大家可以安心使用。
為加強殘留農藥之管理，依據食品安全衛生管理法第三十八條規定：「各級主管機關執行食品、食品添加物、食品器具、食品容器或包裝及食品用洗潔劑之檢驗，其檢驗方法，經食品檢驗方法諮議會諮議，由中央主管機關定之」，並配合「農藥殘留容許量標準」修正，爰擬具「食品中殘留農藥檢驗方法－多重殘留分析方法(五)」，其修正要點如下：
一、檢驗品項由三百七十三品項增加至三百八十品項，增列七品項分別為 benzovindiflupyr、布芬草、賽安勃、賽派芬、fenpyrazamine、nitenpyram 及賜加落。
