香莢蘭因種子非常細小，繁殖生長非常之緩慢，組織栽培之技術要求，又是另外一門課題，目前繁殖大宗接以扦插法為主，只要選定建康之植株，就能進行大量繁殖。
選擇健康之植株，建議兩個節間以上，帶有未枯萎之氣生根，器具需消毒，避免病毒感染，每年11~12月定期修剪，利於明年之花芽分化，促進開花。
傷口建議於陰涼處風乾，避免扦插太潮濕而腐爛，一個節間會有1~2根氣生根，接觸土壤後，保持濕度即可發根。
建議使用已消毒之培養土，培養土需拌合50%左右之介質(蛭石、蛇木、發泡煉石、木炭等)增加排水與透氣性，無肥可在拌合有機肥或固態長效肥等，將剪下之枝條根部埋入土壤，傷口可外露風乾，為避免腐爛之最好方法。
苗期遮陰率控制在70%遮蔽率最為適合，節間也可直接埋入土壤，但土壤保持透氣，保持通風，避免腐爛；頂芽枯萎屬正常現象，冬天非生長期，溫度過低，約3~4個星期會從節間處發出嫩芽，生長穩定後在定植引蔓。
